I'm honestly surprised how many times people have asked this question!

Bit of background, I spent half my life as a missionary kid in Central Asia, and the other half in the States where I'm "from". My life has felt very evenly split and stranded between the two countries, not quite fitting in either one. Any MK can attest to the fact that the "where is home for you" question is never easy to answer.

For the first time in my life being in Guatemala I could truly see myself not just living there but truly planting deep roots and calling a place home for the first time! I'll write another post about the moment the Lord put this on my heart, but it was the first time I had unreservedly felt that way about a place before!

I feel the Lord has called me to go and live in Guate with no end date in sight! I truly feel like He made it home in so many ways and I fully plan on enjoying it and sinking deep roots there until the Lord leads me into something else. It's a bit interesting, when someone announces they have accepted a full-time job position, usually the response they receive isn't "how long will you be with the company?" But there can be so many variables and different methods of what "full-time missions" looks like, that it's hard to tell how long someone will be living on the field. Logistically, full-time staff sign 2-3 year contracts at a time for this exact reason. Sometimes full-timers go on the field thinking they will live there for decades, but leave after a year or two because of extenuating circumstances.

As of right now, I am all in! I am so excited to jump into this with both feet, and open hands surrendered to any changes the Lord might bring around.
